  1. 1-2-3, Play With Me Registrations

    February 1, 2023, 9:00 AM - February 28, 2023, 6:00 PM

    From now until Feb. 28th sign-ups for our 1-2-3, Play With Me! PlayGroup will be taken. This is a free program held on Friday mornings on March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st. Children will enhance their development skills through play while parents/guardians bond with the child. Experts will also be available to discuss many common child development issues. Email ahigh@canyontx.com, call 806-655-5015 or stop by the library to enroll or ask questions. This program is made possible in part by IMLS, TSLAC & FPL Organizations.

    Every Monday from 4:30-6:00 p.m., Canyon Area Library holds Knit Night! Come learn patterns, get help or just enjoy the company of other knitting enthusiasts. All are welcome to attend. Must provide own supplies.? ? Knit and Be Fit / Crochet Along the Way!? Want to take up knitting or crochet but do not want to sit so much? Learn how to walk while you knit and crochet. Join the Canyon Area Library team and get your steps in while you create caps, scarves, and other projects.? Come to Knit Nights at the Canyon Area Library on Mondays 4:30-6:00 (or make an appointment for another time). Learn how to knit and crochet there. Once you learn basic stitches, practice while walking inside the library building. Once you get the hang of it, walk around the Square, or the WT campus, or the Southeast Park pond and report your steps. Watch your name go up on the Leader board in the library. You get a free yarn carry bag when you begin. ? *must provide own supplies*?

    Join us for an interactive Sensory StoryTime! We will read a story book and have hands-on sensory play after. We hope to encourage your child to use multiple senses and help build connections with the book we share.
